Motorola KRZR-K1m Fire
Not content with slamming the competition with the RAZR, Motorola has upped their game with the stylish KRZR. The KRZR keeps the same overall design as the Razr but with newer features, this phone is sure to be the new hot fashion accessory. However the hype surrounding this phone may just be all that. Is it really worth it? Read on to find out.
Design wise you really won't find a prettier phone than the Krzr K1m. It's slightly thicker than the Razr but that makes it more aesthetically balanced. Its heftier weight makes it sturdier than the Razr. The reflective glass on its front just adds to the sleek design. The K1m has a darker blue than the K1 so this version will have fewer smudges. The external display shows all the necessary information. It's not big enough to distract but it's also not too small to make you reach for your glasses. The backlighting is important when you need to see in direct sunlight.
The internal display has a whopping 2 inches and nearly 65k of colors. The keypad is the same design as the Razr so it has the same flaws. The Krzr is as difficult to navigate by feel as the Razr. At least you can give Moto points for consistency.
The features on the Krzr are nothing to jump about. There's a speakerphone that is surprisingly loud, Bluetooth capability and the standard MMS messaging. The memory is a roomy 18mb and with the USB port you can easily transfer files out of the phone. The built in phone is only 1.3 megapixels which is a downgrade from the K1 version which has a 2 megapixel camera. The images aren't the sharpest you can get from a mega pixel camera but that may be a testament to the photographer's skills too.
