Motorola RAZR-V3m Red
The Motorola RAZR was one of the most cutting-edge mobile phones in terms of design and features when it was first released, and the succeeding models in the RAZR line of mobile phone only built on this stellar design quality. The Motorola V3m, one of the latest RAZR models, attempts to continue the pioneering spirit of the series, while improving on some of the mobile phone's other aspects. Let's take a look at how the V3m performs.
Physically, the Motorola V3m isn't that much different from its predecessors, most notably the Motorola V3c mobile phone. In fact, it shares quite a lot of features with the aforementioned mobile phone, since both models are exclusively owned by, and produced for, Verizon Wireless. To recap the RAZR's look: the Motorola V3m has dimensions of 3.9 X 2.1 X 0.6 inches, and features the signature gray color. It also has the RAZR's various mobile phone mechanisms; its external display, the flip mechanism, and the controls, to enumerate a few.
As a mobile phone, the Motorola V3m functions exceptionally well. This mobile phone lets you customize your calling experience to your heart's content, letting you use its Bluetooth technology to use wireless headsets with a variety of hands-free profiles. It also has a speakerphone, but this function is rather poor in terms of voice quality, and produces a trilling sound from the receiver.
It can also serve as a good Internet browser and messenger; the keypad may get a bit technical for most people unused to the Motorola V3m's design, but texting can become a breeze in time. It doesn't feature any instant messaging applications or email support, but surfing the web via 3G EV-DO is pretty fast, although the limited display screen makes for a lot of scrolling action. Heavier, longer pages may cause the server to hang.
The biggest upgrade that can be found in the Motorola V3m is the integrated music player application. If you're an audiophile who's out looking for a sweet, sleek mobile phone, then the V3m provides everything you'd virtually need, although the music player, while loud, lacked a repeat function. It did let you shuffle through the tracks, however, and syncs rather seamlessly with Windows Media Player.
All in all, the Motorola V3m is pretty much something that's been done and over with, but still manages to make it as a top-quality mobile phone. Verizon Wireless' software makes the unit a bit more exciting, but it's everything you'd expect from a traditional RAZR, except that the V3m sports that additional music player.
