Motorola has always been synonymous with cutting edge mobile technology and has kept that reputation solid for several decades now. With the release of the L7 SLVR, Motorola again breaks new ground with a mobile phone.
The Motorola L7 SLVR.s most noticeable feature is its very small dimensions. With a thickness of just 11.5mm, it certainly can compete with the other slim phones that Motorola and the other mobile manufacturers have come up with very recently. It also features the metallic keypad that has been a common feature in Motorola.s other mobile phone models. The candy bar shape that the Motorola SLVR sports is geared for those people who prefer the thinness of the RAZR series but do not find the wide body appropriate for their mobile phone lifestyle.
However, its size belittles the myriad of things that it can do. The Motorola L7 supports all GSM standards (GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900) and Class 10 GPRS, which makes it one of the trendier phones among those who travel a lot. It also has a built-in iTunes player which allows you to listen to your favorite tunes either through the handset loudspeaker or though a headset (available separately). Bluetooth capabilities are also present in this phone to facilitate sharing of files and other things among Bluetooth compatible devices. Its memory is also expandable through a TransFlash card slot.
Some drawbacks, however, present themselves. The iTunes player on the Motorola SLVR L7 is bordering on the slow side of things. Added to that would be the significant number of restrictions that plague it. In terms of visuals, the Motorola SLVR L7 has yet to be beaten in terms of screen resolution and quality, but the low-resolution VGA camera limits the possibilities that this camera phone can offer. Nevertheless, this can easily be forgotten once the pictures have already been uploaded.
Overall, the Motorola SLVR L7 presents more features than what can be expected from its unbelievably small package. With the advent of the Motorola L7, mobile-savvy consumers can expect nothing but better things in the future of mobile technology.
