On October 8, 2003, Sierra Wireless introduced the Voq Professional Phone - a consumer-oriented, tri-band Smartphone. The phone is integrated with a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) and a personal messaging mechanism which are among its best features. The Sierra Wireless Voq Professional Phone is available in two versions � its Voq A10 and A11 Professional Phone models.

The Sierra Wireless A10 Voq is the tri-band European GSM version cell phone and Sierra Wireless A11 Voq is the tri-band North American GSM version. The Sierra Wireless Voq Professional Phone features data and voice functionality in a single device. The most distinctive feature of Sierra Wireless Voq Professional Phone is its flip-open QWERTY keyboard and a 12-key mobile phone keypad. It functions on the WMS (Windows Mobile for Smartphones) operating system. The e-mail function supports standard email methods including Novel GroupWise, Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes. It also supports Virtual Private Networking (VPN) systems. The messaging application features SMS, MMS, POP3 email and IMAP corporate email.

Sierra Wireless Voq cell phones incorporate set of ClearVue applications including Word documents, Excel sheets, PowerPoint and Acrobat. It supported some image formats as well. With the built-in Windows Media Player, music and videos (MP3, WMA and WMV files) can be played on the phone. Multiple applications such as video viewing, playing music and making calls can be performed concurrently.

The Sierra Wireless Voq Professional Phone also supports common cell phone features including speed dialing, voice dialing, conference calling, call logging, speaker phone and voice notes. Additionally, it contains USB and infrared ports. Memory expansion is available via SD or MMC media.
