Thumbplay is looking for a very talented software developer to work on the next generation product offerings. The position involves working on the development of key components of new product launches as well as supports the ongoing business. The person would work directly with the VP of Software Engineering to develop. The environment is dynamic with focus on creative thinking and usage of open source to solve complex problems and business needs.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, MDB, Spring) development
• J2EE architecture framework design and full life cycle large scaled N-tier software development from conceptual design to implementation
• Experienced in OOA/OOD, UML, design patterns, data modeling, and ERD.
• Solid understanding of J2EE design patterns and development methodologies
• Experience developing applications using Struts, Hibernate, Spring, Eclipse, Axis2, Ant
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience building SOA based applications and related technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to devise creative technical solutions
• Bachelors degree or equivalent

• Experience working with SOA/ESB architectures/solutions, AJAX frameworks, performance/load testing methodologies
• Knowledge of JBOSS, Postgres, Tomcat, Memcache, Erlang, lucene
• Good technical infrastructure design skills
• 3+ years of experience in technical architecture analysis and design
