Jamie Foxx is best known for his film and television roles, most notably his Oscar-winning turn as Ray Charles in the biopic RAY. More than simply a lip-syncher in the movies, however, Foxx released a debut album of slowjam R&B in 1994, though to little fanfare. Over a decade later, Foxx returned to the music world with 2005's UNPREDICTABLE. His style had changed little and his focus remained on sweaty hip-hop-tinged bedroom ballads, but the eminently likable Foxx's status as a Hollywood power-player helped push the star-studded album, which featured guest shots from Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, and Mary J. Blige, among others, to the top of the charts.
