About Jude Charles

Jude Charles was born in Port-au-Prince (Haiti). He then came to Canada at the age of 4. When he turned 17, he really started to take guitar seriously. He started taking guitar private lessons. Then the tours started piling up at the age of 20. Belgium, Tahiti, France, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Miami, New-York, etc... He was studying computer science in University and touring in the same time. He had to make a choice between music and computers. In that same year he started his own band (SOULDOUT). The band lasted 2 years. He played with most of the bands in Montreal (like the groups "ONE" featuring (CORNEILLE) and (GAGE)), (SYLVIE DESGROSEILLERS), (MAGGIE BLANCHARD), (CHOIR OF PROPHECY), (MINISTERIAL CHOIR), (JIREH CHOIR), (EXALTATION), (KAMPESH), (ASOTO), (MANIAK), (NO-DEJA) featuring (BARNEV), (K-DANS), (PASSION KOMPA), etc...). He even played guitar for American gospel sensation Grammy nominated (MARVIN SAPP). Sometimes he would play bass guitar for some gigs. He participated on many albums. Jude Charles got to the point where, in 2002 he started producing music. He started working for a radio station in Montreal (CKUT 90.3 FM), where he made jingles. He listened to all kind of music like hip hop, techno, alternative rock, pop, Compa, classical, Jazz, RnB, Reagga, Salsa, Blues, heavy metal, hard rock. In the meantime, he also appeared in many videos (K-DANS, PASSION KOMPA, OLIVIER CHEUWA, etc...). In 2005 he also worked with singer (SANDY DUPERVAL) from STAR ACADEMIE, which is a reality tv show in the same category as AMERICAN IDOL, Quebec version. Lets not forget (SHARON BROOKS) with whom he worked on her radio single. He managed to put out 3 albums under his own label (HEY JUDE PRODUCTIONS). A lot of them were in the gospel field. There are 3 artists whom he worked with. One of them is (OLIVIER CHEUWA, nominated for 20 000 album sold at Gala SOBA) and the other ones are (GUERDIE & NADEGE) with album LOVER OF MY SOUL. In 2004 he started to go all out. He produced an album called URBANISTIK for (STEEVEK), with whom he got his first single with a video running on (MUSIQUE PLUS). He also produced an album called GHETTO GOSPEL for (GUNDEI), who by the way won best english album at the 2007 MU AWARDS. In the year of 2006, he produced 6 songs for an alternative rock artist in Brooklyn (New-York). The album is supposed to come out in February 2008. In the same year he managed to produce in collaboration with Eddy Pierre an artist named MANNIX. Famous writers FREDERICK BARON and SANDRINE ROY, are featured on the album. This album is also supposed to be out before the end of the year. Jude Charles is also working on GUNDEI's second album. His single (I LOVE YOU) is playing on MUCHMUSIC. Jude is also working on CHRISTINE LAMBERT's album, where he has 2 songs. He co-worked with author MARIO HART in one of those 2 songs. In addition, he is co-working with STEVE PAGEOT, GRAMMY winner producer from New Jersey, on various projects. Jude Charles is very thankful. He feels that life has been and will continue to be very generous towards him. In the meantime he is producing, giving guitar lessons in a high school and playing in many venues.
