The reality TV personality and "socialite" Kim Kardashian clearly likes attention. On her E reality show and cavorting with her gal-pal Paris Hilton, Kardashian can be seen living the good life. But, as Kim Kardashian and many other modern reality stars learn at their own expense, there's such a thing as too much exposure too. While the wannabe starlet did agree to pose for the December 2007 issue of Playboy magazine, she certainly never signed up to be the star of a bootleg sex tape. Ah yes, the celebrity sex tape. Gossip columnists everywhere thank their lucky stars every night for these tapes, and Kim Kardashian's put her on the fast track to a certain kind of infamy. Try as hard as she could, Kim could only bring a legal injunction against the tape's producer after thousands of copies had been legally sold, meaning that she's now a gossip world icon for the ages. Kim Kardashian is the daughter of the high powered attorney Robert Kardashian, best known for defending OJ Simpson. Robert Kardashian died in in 2003, when Kim was only 22 years old. Kim's mother then married the Olympic track star Bruce Jenner. In her youth, Kim Kardashian worked for her father's marketing company Movie Tunes, and also worked her industry connections in order to establish a successful career as a film and TV stylist. Also, Kim Kardashian established a popular closet organizing and interior decorating service within the California area. In 2007, Kim Kardashian opened a trendy Los Angeles Boutique named Dash. Along with her parents and her siblings Brody, Kenall and Kyle, Kim was featured on the recent E television network reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashian's. Like her buddy Paris, Kim has recently been in hot water over a leaked sex tape featuring her and ex-boyfriend Ray-J. Kim Kardashian was also married to the hip hop producer Damon Thomas, but the couple split up in 2004.
