The Mouf From the South, Illinois rapper Ludacris is loud and dirrrty. With his trademark nappy hair and lascivious rhymes, a collection of Luda lyrics would read like a ghetto Kama Sutra. After scoring local success with an independent album release in 1999, Luda followed Geto Boy Scarface's advice and inked with Def Jam in 2000. Since then he's been one of the label's high-profile hit-makers and his smash single "What's Your Fantasy" showed fans that, at least when it comes to one thing, Ludacris has quite a sensual imagination. In 2001 Luda dropped his southern-rap classic Word Of Mouf. Timbaland wraps Luda's blazing-fast rhymes up in tight beats, and the rapper maintains his raunchy sense of humor throughout the disc. The Mouf also pissed off conservative radio man Bill O'Reilly, who expressed outrage that Pepsi would hire him as a spokesman. In 2003 Luda dropped his Chickin & Beer disc, which featured the Kanye West-produced "Stand Up," his hottest single to date. The disc also contained the X-rated cut "Splash Waterfalls" and the uncharacteristically hard-edged O'Reilly smack-back "Blow-It-Out." Don't piss off Luda! The rapper is also a go-to man for guest rhymes, and he's been featured on tracks with just about every hip hop player in the game. Guest spots include Missy Elliot, Three-6 Mafia, Funkmaster Flex and 112. Ludacris has serious big screen ambitions and has appeared in the critically acclaimed, Oscar-winning flicks Crash and Hustle & Flow as well as the blockbuster 2 Fast 2 Furious. On his most recent LP, Release Therapy, Luda shows he's matured a little, reflecting on his past with songs like "Grew Up A Screw Up" and "Freedom of Preach." But what about the ladies? Cuts like "Girls Gone Wild" and "Money Maker" let 'em know that Ludacris still loves 'em lots.
