About Romeo

Romeo started his career at the age of eleven in the early 2000s, launching his debut solo album Lil Romeo, which featured his first smash hit single, My Baby. But don't think Romeo was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Before he was on his way to rap super stardom, he was born and raised in one of the worlds most notorious projects and struggled like most kids that lived in poverty. Due to his father (Master P.) making a move to California (and getting a big break in his career), Romeo was able to see life on both sides of the fence. Once he got his break, this native New Orleanian quickly became a chart-topping force to be reckoned with, becoming the youngest solo artist with a number one song on the Billboard charts. Also with the success of his album, he was named Billboard Rap Artist of the year winning a Billboard Artist Of The Year Award, a Teen Choice Award, an American Music Award and a Grammy Nominee. This teen is definitely a number one lottery pick and he holds the key to the future of hip-hop. Even though Romeo was able to cross over with his television and movie career, he's still able to maintain his street credibility. Romeo says, Ain't nuthin wrong with being yourself. My goal is to teach kids that you can come from the ghetto, make it out, get good grades in school and still be cool.
