Vanessa Carlton is an American pop singer who enjoyed sudden popularity with her release of the record Be Not Nobody in 2002. Her single from that album, "A Thousand Miles", reached as high as no. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Charts, and no. 1 on many international charts.
