Remember the song "Cherry Pie"? That hit was the work of Warrant, a glam metal band from the United States who reached success in the 1980's and early 1990's. The band's records reached multi-platinum status and they are still touring with bands such as Poison. They have also continued to release records throughout the 1990's and into the new millennium. The most recent album recorded was the 2006 release, Born Again. Warrant is a band famous for its hard rock edge, now notably with a very specific 80's/90's flair. Their style is very outgoing, classic and timeless. Although the sound created in their later albums has evolved to become more mellow and modern, it is obvious that they're most well known for Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich and Cherry Pie. Because their fan base is still prominent, they have experienced continued success from sales. While the later records have not managed to top the charts, Warrant boasts such a devoted and wide fan base from its early days that new record sales are enough, coupled with tours, to keep them going. At any rate, one has to be impressed with the staying power of this band and the devotion that all of its members clearly have to making music. They have all grown as musicians, continue to express themselves, and to record albums.
