Lifehouse is a popular rock band that originated in Malibu, California. It comprises the three members Jason Wade, Rick Woolstenhulme Jr, and Bryce Soderberg. Founded by Jason Wade, the band's former members were Sean Woolstenhulme, Sergio Andrade, Collin Hayden, Aaron Lord and Jon "Diff" Palmer. Their hit single "Hanging By the Moment" which is from their debut album "No Name Face" released in 2000 was a hit and brought the band into the limelight. It also won a Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year after winning over Janet Jackson and Alicia Keys for the No.1 Single of 2001. Lifehouse's follow-up album "Stanley Climbfall" was followed by a third album in 2005. The band's eponymous third album Lifehouse, produced by John Alagia was released on March 22, 2005. Recently in June 2007, the fourth album called "Who We Are" was released. When Wade was just 15, he was helped by Ron Aniello to develop his skills. Wade, along with Ron, released a demo album in 1999 when the band was called by the name "Blyss." The title was "Diff's Lucky Day" and quite unexpectedly it started selling on e-bay for hundreds of dollars. Many tracks from this album were remixed and released as "No Name Face" when Lifehouse first entered a recording studio for recording their first LP. Lifehouse started gaining an international fan base that liked the band's founder Wade's lyrics that are spiritual and questioning. While Jason Wade and Rick Woolstenhulme were the only early active members of Lifehouse for some time, in late 2004, Bryce Soderberg joined Lifehouse as the new bass guitarist. Many singles from Lifehouse have been used in the soundtracks for film and television programs. The song "All Over Again" appeared in the American television series "Smallville" and "Boston Legal." Another single called "Blind" was made into a music video and released in 2005. It featured many recent actors such as Sarch McClain, Stephen Cheung, and Andy Walters. The band's latest 2007 release "Who We Are" was at number 14 on the Bill board 200 and sold about 49,000 copies in its very first week.
