For fans that can’t get enough of Beavis and Butt-Head, ringtones from their early 90's CD compilation The Beavis and Butt-Head Experience, have now been released. Ringtones include songs from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Run-D.M.C., and Sir Mix-A-Lot.
One of the most talked about tones is the Chili Peppers’ “Search and Destroy”. The song is a cover version, originally recorded by Iggy Pop and The Stooges.
For those who aren’t familiar with Iggy Pop, he is one of the punk heroes of the early 70’s, who originally came on to the music scene with his band The Stooges. During his solo career, he wrote numerous hits, including “Lust For Life” and “China Girl”, which David Bowie also co-wrote and recorded. The song he's best known for as a solo artist, is the punk anthem “Real Wild Child”. Recently, Iggy has been seen on Bam Margera’s show performing the classic “My Idea Of Fun”, which he released with the reunited Stooges in 2006.
