Four Tops Legend Levi Stubbs Dies at 72

Levi Stubbs, the singer of legendary motown hits like "Baby I Need Your Lovin" has passed away today at the age of 72. Stubbs sang many memorable hits with the Four Tops. Immaculate choreography, flawless harmonies, and the instantly recognizable lead vocals of Levi Stubbs made the Four Tops one of the best and longest-running groups to come out of Berry Gordy's Motown hit factory in the 1960s. Their interpretations of Holland-Dozier-Holland's songs ("Reach Out I'll be There," "Standing in the Shadows of Love," "Bernadette," et al) rank them as one of the premier soul vocal groups of all time.
