All signs seem to point to a June arrival for the eagerly awaited 3G iPhone from Apple. For one thing, like the tide retreating from a beach before a tsunami, current iPhones have disappeared from Apple store shelves. Numerous reports from China indicate that manufacturing is due to begin on the next-gen iPhone in May. Apple's World Wide Developers Conference is scheduled for June 9-13, and many analysts predict an announcement of the new phone will be made there.
What will be in the new iPhone? We know for sure it will operate on AT&T Wireless' speedy 7.2 Mb/s HSDPA network, currently available in 270 markets in the U.S. and 350 markets by the end of the year according to AT&T. An unlocked version also will be available in several non-U.S. markets, including Belgium and Italy, at least. iPhone also will be available in Canada through Rogers Wireless later this year.
We may also get a break on pricing. Fortune Magazine reports there will be two versions, 8 GB and 16 GB, at $399 and $499 respectively, but AT&T will offer a $200 subsidy for folks who sign up for two years. Several rumors have persisted that there will be a 32 GB version.
The iPhone rumor mill also has been swirling about what the 3G iPhone will look and act like. The strongest possibility is the current controversial recessed headphone jack will be replaced by a standard flush jack. The new model may also include true GPS capabilities, it may be smaller and lighter thanks to a plastic rather than metal enclosure.
One report from Taiwan says its screen will shrink from 3.5 to 2.8 inches, but we have a hard time believing that. It may have a front-mounted camera for possible video telephony, however, and could access and/or control tracks from your iTunes library through your home local area network ala AppleTV. Unfortunately, it likely will not include haptic response for its touch keypad.
Knowing Apple, though, the 3G iPhone will probably include some insanely cool functions no one has thought of yet.

Chicago is a great city, recognized for all the extrodinary music that has come out of it during the past few decades.
Chicago-native
Peter Cetera helped form a band in the late
60's who loved the city so much, they actually named themselves Chicago. Just a few years back, the name
Chicago was given to both a play and a movie that showcased city life during the 1920's.
There are plenty of great artists from
Chicago. Check our site for you favorites, whether it's
Jazz,
R&B,
Hip Hop, or

Twenty-one years after its original release,
Rick Astley has become an internet phenomenon with his hit single
Never Gonna Give You Up. Rick can thank "Rickrolling" for his resurgence.
Rickrolling is a prank and Internet meme where a person provides a link that is supposed to be something unrelated, and the link actually takes the user to the Astley youtube video. It can also mean playing the song loudly in public in order to be disruptive. A person who falls for the prank is said to be "rickrolled".

Watching Mariah Carey on Idol last night, made me realize how many great hits she has. Her new single Touch My Body has just topped the charts, and she's beat Elvis Presley for most #1 songs. Some of Mariah's biggest hits to-date are: Fly Like A Bird, Shake It Off, We Belong Together and Butterfly. She's also had mega-chart toppers like: One Sweet Day with Boyz II Men, and let's not forget the one that kicked it all off for her... Vision Of Love.Did anyone catch David Cook with last night's show-stopper Always Be My Baby? It was an incredible (and surprising) performance!Labels: Ringtones

Alt-rock favorites
Pearl Jam are coming back with a massive tour this year, and tickets are on sale now. Playing massive venues like Madison Square Garden, Pearl Jam proves that people are still excited by their music. Pearl Jam helped popularize the grunge movement of the early 1990s, and they are one of the only mainstream 90s grunge bands that is still active.
Bonus fact, Matt Cameron, drummer for Pearl Jam, used to be in
Soundgarden.

Jay-Z and
Beyonce managed to pull off a stealth wedding this Friday in New York City, keeping the event a secret to press. Not a single photo of Beyonce in a wedding dress has surfaced! The private ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment in New York in front of family and A-list pals, including Gwyneth Paltrow,
Chris Martin and
Destiny's Child members
Kelly Rowland and

Impressive indeed, and what a union.

One of the most fascinating things about American Idol's 2006 season, wasn't necessarily the winner Taylor Hicks or runner-up Katharine McPhee. For many people, it was the number of successful solo careers that were launched by numerous Top 12 Contestants.

Arguably the most sensational boy band of all time,
The New Kids on the Block, will be appearing on the Today Show this Friday. Are you excited? Maybe we are, at least a little. The popular faces on little girls' lunch boxes and sleeping bags will show again for a performance in the Plaza. Sources close to the band say all five original New Kids - Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jordan and Jonathan Knight are participating. Sure hope this isn't an
April Fools joke!
