Mariah Carey's "Memoirs" released today

The wait is finally over: Mariah Carey's eagerly anticipated new album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, will finally hit the shelves today. Mimi's hit single "Obsessed," plus the song's steamy video has topped the Thumbplay charts since its release back in July. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel comes on the heels of last year’s smash record E=MC2, which featured the #1 hit “Touch My Body,” with special guests The-Dream and Rick Ross.

Mariah Carey was discovered by legendary record mogul Tommy Mottola, whose other protégés include Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, and Mexican star Thalia. This will be Mariah Carey’s astonishing eleventh album in a long career of hits, including “Vision of Love,” “I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time” and “Bye Bye.”
