Big Artists on Tap for Summer Festivals


The season of star-studded outdoor festivals is upon us, with the biggest artists playing this past weekend at Liberty State Park in New Jersey. The festival's opening night on Friday brought out the big guns with headliner Jay-Z, whose new single “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” has taken over the charts. Jay-Z, who was a last minute replacement for the The Beastie Boys, was joined by Vampire Weekend, Q-Tip, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, currently on fire with their new single “Heads Will Roll.”

Saturday’s line-up included rockers My Bloody Valentine, Gogol Bordello, Arctic Monkeys, and alt-country phenom Neko Case, who has enjoyed a flourishing solo career after her time with Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers. Sunday’s show ended the festival with a bang – superstars Coldplay headlined the night, supported by MGMT, Mogwai, The Black Keys, and 80’s new wave gods Echo & The Bunnymen.

Westward Ho for Conan O'Brien!


Last night was the much anticipated Tonight Show debut of Late Night star Conan O'Brien. The torch was officially passed from Jay Leno to Conan during the star-studded NBC premiere, featuring a performance by the incomparable Pearl Jam, and a visit from comedian Will Ferrell. Pearl Jam performed their new single, “The Fixer,” from the album Backspacer, slated for release this Fall. Don’t miss tonight’s special guests Tom Hanks and Green Day.

Games For Your BlackBerry

If you're looking for some new games to play on your BlackBerry, look no further! Thumbplay has just received 13 new games from Concrete Sofware, a company who is responsible for some of the coolest mobile games.

First and foremost, you need to check out 3D Constructo Combat. The game allows the player to construct buildings on a variety of landscapes, while preventing opponents from doing the same. Whoever racks-up the most points when the clock stops wins. And did I mention it was in 3D?!!

007 - Quantum Of Solace

The new James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace opens today in movie theaters across the U.S. Fans of the last 007 flick will be happy to know that Daniel Craig (who made his first appearance as Bond in Casino Royale) has returned to the starring role. Olga Kurylenko, Gemma Arterton and Judi Dench also star in the movie. Get into the James Bond spirit with Jack White and Alicia Keys' tone "Another Way To Die" on your mobile. Mercenaries 2 Game For Your Cell Phone


When Mercenaries 2 was released weeks ago, it caught the attention of gamers worldwide.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, takes place in August 2010, following the player's hunt for Ramon Solano, the fictional dictator of Venezuela. In Mercenaries II; If you see it, you can buy it, steal it or blow it up. Follow the money wherever it leads, play as Mattias and execute your deadly skills in the name of cash. Enter war-torn Venezuela and use rocket launchers, C4 and precision air strikes to annihilate bunkers, bases, radio towers, vehicles and cargo! Answer to the highest bidder and help resolve the bloody conflict while padding your bank account. Whatever pays the bills, right?

The game has been so popular, it even drew criticism from the Venezuelan government, as they accused the US of creating the game as a propaganda piece. The studio that produced the game responded that they were simply in the business of entertainment. What do you think?
