What's Hot On Thumbplay

Hi Everyone, it's good to be back after the long holiday break. There's no suprise that today we're seeing all the new phones out there buzzing with some of the coolest mobile stuff. If you didn't already know...
T.I.,
Beyonce,
Soulja Boy and
Katy Perry are burning up our
Ringtone,
Video and
MP3 charts. Due to the fact that we'll have a new president sworn-in this month,
Obama graphics are being dowloaded in amazing numbers. Along with that,
Will.I.Am's tribute "
It's A New Day" tone is also a favorite.
NFL Graphics are in demand, as wallpapers and animations of favorite teams are being sported by fans. For
Games...
God Of War - Betrayal and
007 Quantum of Solace are still top-sellers.
Animations from
Neon World are big right now as well as
Valentine's Day graphics. It's definitely exciting to come in from the new year and see what people are interested in. Let's all hope this next year turns out to be one of the best!

With only two weeks remaining in the 2008
NFL Regular Season, the race to the playoffs have begun. In the AFC, the
Pittsburgh Steelers and
Tennessee Titans have both clinched playoff spots. In the NFC, only two teams have spots so far- the
New York Giants and
Arizona Cardinals. It will be exciting to see The Giants' primetime showdown against the
Carolina Panthers on Sunday night, since both teams share a record of 11-3. With seven teams battling for the last four spots, The Giants and Panthers seem to be the two top teams in the NFC right now. The big AFC showdown will be the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Tennesee Titans. Other key games this week are
Atlanta Falcons vs.
Minnesota Vikings,
Baltimore Ravens vs.
Dallas Cowboys. For many NFL fans, it's been nothing less than an exciting season.

As
Hanukkah approaches, now's a great time to celebrate with
ringtones,
graphics and
MP3's for your mobile phone. Some cool
graphics are the
3D Menorah, the
Neon Star of David, and the Colorful
Dreidel. For new
ringtones, check out
Songs In The Key Of Hanukkah; it features new takes on classic
songs. A seasonal favorite group is NYC's own
The Klezmatics, who have a number of fun
tones to celebrate
Hanukkah like "
Do The Latke Flip-Flop" and "
Honeyky Hanukkah". Billy Sherwood's
MP3 of "
Rockin' Hanukkah" is a well-known tune, heard on the
TV show "Brothers & Sisters". Speaking of
rockin'
Hanukkah songs, check out this
rocked up version of "
Spin The Dreidel" by Dave Feldstein. If traditional is more your style "
I Have a Little Dreidel"
MP3 by Wendie Colter might do. Happy
Hanukkah!

The
College Football season is getting intense right now. Last week we saw
Pittsburg lose to
Cincinnati,
Ohio State crush
Michigan, and
Oklahoma's victory over
Texas Tech. This Saturday, I'm looking forward to watching
Georgia Tech play their long-time rival the
Georgia Bulldogs. The battle for state bragging rights is on, as these two teams go head-to-head. If
Georgia Tech wins, it will be their first victory over the Bulldogs in 7 years. Will
Georgia Tech come out victorious? I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Thanksgiving's here! It's also the time of year that our favorite
Holiday TV specials are on.
Charlie Brown and
How The Grinch Stole Christmas are just two of the beloved classics. While The
Polar Express,
The Santa Clause and
Shrek The Halls are among the newer shows getting played every year.
Peronsonally, I can't get enough of
Vince Guaraldi's tunes around this
holiday season. Vince was the one responsible for all the
Charlie Brown classics like "
Linus & Lucy", "
Skating", "
Christmastime Is Here" and the
jazzed-out "
Charlie Brown Theme". If you're a Dr. Seuss fan, you can download the original version of "
You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" to your cell.
For a real hoot, check out these
Thanksgiving tones, they're really funny!

Halloween is coming soon! Here are some suggestions to keep your mobile phone sPoOKy...
For ringtones, what could be scarier than the
Psycho Theme or cooler then the original
Addams Family Theme?
For
videos, check out
Zombie Attack or famed actor Bela Lugosi as
Dracula (in one of the most recognizable horror clips!). If you're into truly gross things, check out
Brain Surgery. There's plenty of videos to make anyone squirm! Click
here to see all of them.
Some of my favorite animations are
Beyond The Grave and the bouncy
Halloween Ghost.
Our
Halloween page is full of great stuff!

If anyone watched The Hills last night, you'd probably agree with me that there was a lot of great music played during the show. In addition to "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield still being used as the theme song, they did a really good job of featuring new music by both upcoming and established artists. I'd have to say the musical highlights for me was hearing The Ting Tings "Shut Up And Let Me Go", Rihanna's "Disturbia"; and Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up" rocking the start of the show. I though the use of Estelle's "American Boy" was perfectly timed for Lauren's date with Doug. There were great spots for newcomers Lesley Roy with her single "I'm Gone, I'm Going" and the very hip Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" which I'm sure many of you know. I predict it's going to be a great season for Lauren and the girls.
