The new film of the popular 80sTV show and movie, Fame, has lived up to its name: it was the weekend's top-grossing drama. The new soundtrack features cast recordings of original music performed by the stars, including the classic original theme song, “Fame,” and several fresh new tunes featured in the film update:
The Kanye West buzz is still burning up the internet. Since his shocking disruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at Sunday's awards show, West has made several apologies to Ms. Swift, apparently not satiating the public’s interest in the story. Kanye first apologized via his Twitter account, followed by a televised apology on the new Jay Leno Show, plus a personal phone call made to Taylor Swift. You know you’re hot when the President weighs-in on the controversy!
For those of you catching-up on the brouhaha, Kanye West stormed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. The reason for the disruption? Kanye wanted to proclaim his preference for Beyonce’s video, “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” Always the lady, Swift politely stepped aside while Kanye West was heckled by the crowd. In a display of her trademark class, Beyonce took the opportunity, when she won Video Of The Year for “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” to invite Taylor Swift on-stage to finish her speech.
After days of apologies, and Presidential off-the-cuff remarks, interest has piqued in the news of an upcoming Kanye West and Lady GaGa tour. Lady GaGa was responsible for some controversy of her own at Sunday’s wild show: during an elaborate dance sequence for the hit “Paparazzi,” Lady GaGa startled the crowd as her performance morphed into a horror movie-esque gore fest. The singer’s artistic production was interpreted by some as an homage to Michael Jackson’s "Thriller," and Madonna’s famous 1980’s MTV VMA performance of “Like A Virgin.”
From Kanye West's disruption of Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, to Lady GaGa's shocking, horror-themed performance, the MTV Video Music Awards fulfilled its promise to be the most buzz-worthy awards show of the year. The night’s excitement, MC'd by Wale, was topped off with tons of memorable live performances from Beyonce, Pink, Pitbull, Muse, 3OH!3, The All-American Rejects, and an encore by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.
More excitement ensued when Lady GaGa appeared to be injured during her elaborate dance sequence for her hit “Paparazzi.” In fact, it was all part of the dramatic, gory performance which morphed into horror movie madness, interpreted by some as an homage to Michael Jackson’s "Thriller" and Madonna’s famous 1980’s MTV VMA performance of “Like A Virgin.”
Renowned talk show host and comedian Ellen Degeneres surprised American Idol® fans today with the announcement she will be the fourth judge, replacing original panelist Paula Abdul. The high profile move came on the heels of last month’s surprise move by Abdul to depart the show after eight seasons.
American Idol® was a huge comeback for the songstress, making her a star of the small screen, and the adoration of a new generation. Paula was a darling of the late 80's and early 90's pop charts, with a string of #1 hits, including “Forever Your Girl,” “Straight Up” and “Cold Hearted.” Before launching her singing career, Abdul was a sought-after dance choreographer, known for her work with Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson and the Jackson family, whom she credits with discovering her cheerleading at a Lakers basketball game. Her tender critiques of contestants became a distinctive element of American Idol®.
The immediate public reaction has been both hot and cold for Degeneres. Many bloggers have praised her as a compassionate, experienced live performer whose success lends her credibility. Others have criticized her as too soft and out of her element in the music world. Audiences can judge for themselves when the new season premieres next January.

Paula Abdul saddened American Idol® fans today with the announcement that she will not be returning for the next season of the hit show. Paula was a darling of the late 80's and early 90's pop charts, with a string of #1 hits, including “Forever Your Girl,” “Straight Up” and “Cold Hearted.”
Before launching her singing career, Abdul was a sought-after dance choreographer, known for her work with Janet Jackson and the Jackson family, whom she credits with discovering her cheerleading at a Lakers basketball game. From there, Paula Abdul went on to choreograph dance sequences for many feature films, including The Doors. After her huge success as a recording artist, she penned hits for other top singers, such as “Spinning Around” for Kylie Minogue.
American Idol® was a huge comeback for the songstress, making her a star of the small screen, and the adoration of a new generation. Her tender critiques of contestants became a trademark of the show. Abdul used the show as a launching pad for her recent single, “Dance Like There's No Tomorrow,” produced with fellow judge Randy Jackson. Gone but not forgotten, Abdul made an impact on many contestants. MTV's The Hills' newlyweds Spiedi might have been "tortured" by the production team of NBC's "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!" and escaped with gastric ulcers, but that didn’t keep Spencer Pratt from dropping the mobile version of his new rap hit (you heard me—rap hit), “I’m a Celebrity,” on Thumbplay. Apparently, the “trauma” really got his creative juices flowing—check out his rhymes HERE.

It's not just her smoking good looks either - it's her talk about wanting to kiss a girl! Even though she's been dating former 90210 star Brian Austin Green, she says she'd love to have a lesbian affair with sexy stars like the O.C.'s Olivia Wilde and Jenna Jameson.
Here's some more highlights from Megan's GQ interview:
"The other day I said I eat a lot of cake and that was the top story on Yahoo."
"Before I go onstage anywhere, I take a Xanax now."
"Sex is something that everyone does so why can't I talk about it?"
Pop veteran Britney Spears has never won a VMA until this year, 2008, years after the initial hysteria that surrounded the pop princess when she arrived on the scene. She took home not one, but three VMAs for her music video, Piece Of Me, including video of the year. Appearing in silver sparkly gowns, thanking god and fans, she had few words as she accepted each award.
The popular teen drama that started it all is back, this time on the CW. The show premiered this week with a new cast mixed with some stars from the original 90210 cast. Were you a big 90210 lover? Kick it old school with these great 90210 ringtones and wallpapers for your phone.
Tila Tequila, queen of myspace and reality star, has just tearfully concluded the second season of "Shot At Love." This time, Tila narrowed it down to female finalist, Kristy, and male finalist, Bo. Unfortunately there was no happy ending for Tila.
She turned down Bo, who seemed to really love her. "I've been calling Tila my girlfriend for a long time now," he said. "I really do love Tila.” He was heartbroken but gracious when he didn't get a key, telling her, "You always got your Bo-bear."
When Tila offered Kristy the key to her heart, Kristy responded saying, "You love that I'm honest and that I'm true to my feelings and true about who I am. If I take this key I'm not being true."
Yikes! "Why would you do that no?" Tila asked. "Why would you put me through all this process? ... I feel humiliated."
Kristy later explained that she was unsure of her feelings about being with women. Too Little Too Late, don't you think?
David Cook triumphed in a massive 12 million vote landslide American Idol victory against opponent David Archuleta in the finale of last night's show. A number of amazing performances capped off the evening. Donna Summer and Syesha Mercado sang "Last Dance" together. Donna also sang her new hit "Stamp Your Feet".
Tonight is the the night! The final two contestants on the 2008 season of American Idol performed last night, and the winner will be chosen in just a couple hours.
In the contestant's last chance to woo America, they performed classic favorites. Andrew Lloyd-Webber appeared on the show as a coach. David Cook sang U2’s With Or Without You. Simon suggested that Cook should have performed a different song, such as Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, or Lionel Richie's Hello.
Who do you think will win tonight's competition? I'm not sure but I hope they put out some great songs. Click on any of the artists or songs above to check out the ringtone for the original song.
Last night Fantasia's return to the American Idol stage was a complete success. Barrino stole the show and was certainly the most exciting part of the night. Her high energy rendition of "Bore Me" was anything but boring. She had everyone out of their seat with their hands in the air.
25 years later, Michael Jackson's hit album, Thriller, is getting people excited, now on reality dance television shows.
On tonight's episode of Dancing with the Stars, a Thriller tribute will be performed by Seventeen dancers along with Omarion and Mya. Their routine will be set to a medley of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin',""Billie Jean" and "Thriller." America will be tuned in for this one. Currently Dancing With the Stars is viewed by an audience of 20 million viewers per episode!
And soon after that, audiences can enjoy another take on Thriller when Bravo's Step It Up & Dance has a Thriller Episode. The Step It Up & Dance cast has previously performed their Thriller routine live on the Today show and at the Tribecca Film Festival. On the May 29th episode of The Step It Up & Dance, you can see what you may have missed as the cast performs their Thriller tribute once again. Famous for many popular hits, including the classic bar staple Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond is a widely celebrated American musician. Though some think he is a little cheesy with his flashy Vegas shows, there's something naturally enjoyable about Diamond's positive energy. His songs often involve storytelling and relatable themes that audiences connect to.
After scoring his first hits in the 60s, Neil Diamond is back on TV and live stages. He recently appeared as a guest on American Idol, where contestants sang his music. He is also touring this summer, with multiple dates at huge venues like Madison Square Garden. Diamond's popularity shines on!
Kellie Pickler won three awards Monday night at the 2008 CMT Music Awards in Nashville: Tearjerker Video of the Year, Breakthrough of the Year for "I Wonder," and the Performance of the Year award for her live performance of that song on the CMA Awards broadcast on ABC.
One of the most fascinating things about American Idol's 2006 season, wasn't necessarily the winner Taylor Hicks or runner-up Katharine McPhee. For many people, it was the number of successful solo careers that were launched by numerous Top 12 Contestants.
Elliott Yamin, the underdog of the season, released an album laced with great songs. It included the radio-friendly singles Wait For You and One Word.
Arguably the most sensational boy band of all time, The New Kids on the Block, will be appearing on the Today Show this Friday. Are you excited? Maybe we are, at least a little. The popular faces on little girls' lunch boxes and sleeping bags will show again for a performance in the Plaza. Sources close to the band say all five original New Kids - Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jordan and Jonathan Knight are participating. Sure hope this isn't an April Fools joke!
Coming tomorrow..."Falling Slowly", the Award-Winning song from the movie Once will be released as a ringtone. We'll check back in with you tomorrow on that....
Brit pop sensation Lily Allen has been taking a lot of heat lately for her new TV show. It's being called silly, and a flop. I guess we are lucky it's not playing on US soil. Her show's possible failure certainly doesn't take away from her charm. Lily's catchy hits are full of personality and sweetness. Download a Lily Allen ringtone today to add some fun and playfulness to your phone.
This singer/songwriter, reminiscent of a young Elton John, may be new to the scene, but he already landed a major score. American Idol chose his new catchy tune to be used as the farewell song, playing as contestants are dismissed from their Hollywood auditions.

Hollywood movie star, Karate black belt, and all-around tough guy Chuck Norris is everywhere these days. He’s been popping up in soda commercials ads, television shows and infomercials. It seems there is no escaping him.
Anyone who is familiar with Chuck, knows that he is comparable to a modern-day Bruce Lee. Although the strange cult following he’s acquired makes him more comparable to tv’s David Hasselhoff.
At least one thing that distinguishes Norris from Hasselhoff is the fact that Norris doesn’t insist on singing! But for as much flack as Hasselhoff catches for his songs, he has sold an astonishing number of records world-wide!
Check out these hilarious mobile Chuck Norris graphics. You can also gaze in amazement at the selection of Hasselhoff wallpapers and amuse yourself with his must-have ringtones!
